    Why do I need a specialized water filter in the UAE?

    While municipal water in the UAE meets high standards, it can pick up contaminants like rust, sediment, and micro-plastics from older pipelines and building storage tanks. Furthermore, the desalination process often leaves water with a high mineral content or a “chlorine” taste that PureLine systems are designed to refine.

    What is the difference between Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Ultrafiltration (UF)?

    • Reverse Osmosis (RO): Uses a semi-permeable membrane to remove nearly all dissolved solids (TDS), including salts, heavy metals, and chemicals.

    • Ultrafiltration (UF): Uses a slightly larger pore size (0.01 microns) to block bacteria and viruses while keeping essential minerals in the water.

    How often should I replace my filter cartridges?

    In the UAE’s conditions, we recommend the following maintenance schedule:

    • Sediment & Carbon Filters: Every 6 to 12 months.

    • RO Membranes: Typically every 18 to 36 months, depending on water usage and source quality.

    • UV Lamps: Annually, to ensure 100% germicidal protection.

    Can PureLine systems handle brackish or well water?

    Yes. Our industrial and agricultural systems are specifically engineered to treat brackish groundwater common in the UAE. We use specialized membranes and Chlorine DI pre-treatment to manage high salinity and prevent biological fouling.

    Does your filtration system affect water pressure?

    Minimal pressure drop is normal. However, for whole-house systems, we recommend installation on the delivery/outlet side of your pressure pump to ensure consistent flow without starving the pump.
